I'm trying to write a novel, but I'm not sure if the idea is worth going for. Can someone read the summary of it and the opening to let me know if it's a good one or if I should just trash it?

In a futuristic society where only five kids inhabit the world as living species, a large computer mainframe has taken dominance over the world, changing climates and turning the corpses of the dead into mindless, controlled killing machines. In lure of the danger, the five team up, led by the fourteen year old Gray who's past is a mere mystery to his friends. To everyone's surprise, they discover, due to a friend's betrayal that there is one more human alive, yet he is the real mastermind behind this plot of destruction. It's up to Gray, Leal, Rax, Kai, and Knight to stop the menace and restore order to the world.

I'm glad it's met such a welcome, so far. That gives me some hope. Although, I'm also wondering what I should call the villain at this point. Right now, I was going with Charlemagne as an allias, but I'm not so sure if that will work... I want it to start with a "C" though...
