It is winter where Jenna lives. It's been snowing all day, but now the snow has changed to sleet and then to freezing rain. What is happening to cause these changes? Explain how snow, sleet and freezing rain are formed

Freezing rain is caused when a warm mass of air is between the ground and cloud deck is followed by a mass of freezing air near the surface. When precipitation falls from a cloud it is usually snow. Then as it comes in contact with the warm air it melts into usual rain but before it reaches the ground, it enters the below-freezing air and quickly turns to ice. On impact it usually freezes to whatever it lands on.
