x times 0.2 = 9

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Third line down it states: 9 = .02 • x That should be 9 = .2 • x

I got it, but thanks! Can you check though? When he changes 20% into a fraction changes it to 0.02 which is wrong. If 0.02 is a percent it would be 2%. 20% in decimal form is 0.2 so let's replace 0.02 with 0.2. a = p% • b 9 = 20% • x 9 = 0.2 • x 9/0.2 = 0.2 • x/0.2 9/0.2 = x 45 = x

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

per cent means "for every hundred" so 20% = 20/100 = .2

I know. I got it like right when I posted this, but can you check and see if I got it right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was right.. Thanks
