hi guys, have a quick query on ratios, plz help???

OpenStudy (jack1):

hi, i have a ratio of 3 things (not 2), how do i plot this on an x vs y graph???

OpenStudy (jack1):

so i have a volume of concrete, its made of sand cement and gravel, and the total volume = 100%, but the ratios are like 1:2:3 1:2:5 1:4: 7 ...etc, and i have to plot them somehow...?

OpenStudy (jack1):

ratio VS strength of the concrete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think you can plot 3 variables on the two-variable plane... You can try omitting the sand (since it's one for all of them) and just plot cement versus gravel instead

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

z = strength x = cement per unit sand y = gravel per unit sand

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you will get a surface
