How does blood flow through the heart during the different phases?
Hello! @charutha ! First try to understand the flow of blood through a diagram that i'll post here...If u hav doubts tell me..:)
There are 2 phases i.e Systole and Diastole..
1st during diastole: 1) Atrioventricular valves are open. 2) The SA node, which starts cardiac conduction, contracts causing atrial contraction. 3) The atria empty blood into the ventricles. 4) Semilunar valves close preventing back flow into the atria...
Now...During systole..: 1) The ventricles contract. 2) Atrioventricular valves close and semilunar valves open. 3) Blood flows to either the pulmonary artery or aorta.... Hope it helps..:)
thanx a lot @shreehari499.....but as written during diastole...the 4th point.....back flow into the atria or ventricles?
