Solve the inequality of: m-7<6. a. m<-1 b. m>1 c. m<13 d. m<-13 *(I PICKED)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

id try adding ...

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

add 7 on both sides

OpenStudy (amistre64):

d works, but it misses some of the solutions is all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 So It is D I just need to fix some stuff?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

d is a partial solution set. so its not the MOST correct choice

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to algebra it out, id add similar to acx's idea

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

yes plug in -13 into the original equation but you will realize that their are more solutions that have a higher value then -13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhmmm so the final answer would be -1?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

m - 7 < 6 +7 +7 ----------- m < 6+7

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since 6+7 is not -1, id say thats not the one we want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHHHH!!!!! Its just 13!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

ill go with that one yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck
