@mathslover

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it... (3x4) x (z x z^5) = 12z^6

mathslover (mathslover):

isn't it z * z^2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, it is meant to be ^5

mathslover (mathslover):

Okay, then you're right.

mathslover (mathslover):

Good work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pls can you show me how, you would solve it using your own steps

mathslover (mathslover):

I would have also preferred to follow the steps you did. A tip for you : Always prefer to follow the steps which you can easily follow, like here, you can follow the method you did above, so just follow it in future too. Though, you can look upto's some other's method but always prefer your's own method.

where, I am confused is (3x4) x (z x z^5) do you put the times symbol in between the two brackets

mathslover (mathslover):

Well, If you just put it like this : (3*4)(z*z^5) then also it is obvious that there is times symbol between the brackets.
