A cylinder has its radius doubled and its height halved. What is the ratio of the volume of the original cylinder to the changed cylinder?

The back of the book says it's 1:2 - But I don't understand why.

volume = pi r^2 h r goes to 2r increases volume by 4 h halved halves that new volume total effect is doubling the volume
