Need some help with math ...whos good at it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=2\sqrt{3x+4-5}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@melissaaaa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say distribute that 2 but hold on a second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohkay your answer would be y= 2squareroot 3x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get that??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you cant distribute the 2 , I believe because of the 3x, so you just solve whats under the square root which is 4-5 and that gives -1 . leaving you with 3x-1 under the square root you cannot combine those 3x and -1 because their simply not the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that help you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah n no because im horrible at math and its all confusing ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol awwe it gets easier kinda ..
