:( Please help me! Sherry missed the lesson on normal distribution and needs to do her homework. Explain to Sherry how to use the mean and standard deviation of a normal distribution to determine the top 7% of the population. I have no idea where to start...
Here, This is an Openstudy user who has already asked this question and had multiple users explain it to them! Hopefully this helps http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/5301ad54e4b024fe26e22d29 \(\Huge\ddot\smile\) ~ Cyd
Thanks @Cydney_Morgan
No problem! If you need anymore help, I can see if any of my buddy's can come help you out.
I think I get it now, but do you think you can help with this one...? Carla conducted an experiment to determine if the there is a difference in mean body temperature for men and women. She found that the mean body temperature for men in the sample was 97.1 with a population standard deviation of 0.51 and the mean body temperature for women in the sample was 98.2 with a population standard deviation of 0.57. Assuming the population of body temperatures for men and women is normally distributed, calculate the 95% confidence interval and the margin of error for the mean body temperature for both men and women. Using complete sentences, explain what these confidence intervals mean in the context of the problem.
Errmm... I'm not sure.. @iambatman do you know this? I can not find any open study links of this question. ( When I'm not smart enough to help I try to help anyway )
yea I looked. and lol me too
