m=y2-y1/x2-x1 solve for y2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well to solve for y2 we want to isolate it (get it all by itself on one side of the equation). So first we should move the (x2-x1) to the other side, do you know how to do this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not at all

|dw:1399849329865:dw| we need to find a way to cancel the (x2-x1) on the right side... We could multiply both sides by (x2-x1)
