Actually, I think you want to EXPAND this third power of a binomial. One way is to learn and remember the general formula for such a third power: \[(a+b)^3=a^3 + 3a^2b+3ab^2 +b^3\]

Or you could patiently multiply out (x+8)(x+8)(x+8) (which I don't recommend); or you could look up and learn "Pascal's Triangle" and apply it to this expansion process.
