need a help!!! question is about cos sin tension equilibrium!

OpenStudy (somy):

here is the full question

OpenStudy (somy):

c) part i did fully angles i got are for horizontal 5.75N and for vertical 4.8N i felt like c and d parts are somehow connected so see both parts i totally don't get d part

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (mrnood):

For the two force in d resolve them both vertically and horizontally like you did in c For equilibrium the sum of the vertical force must equal the 7.5N weight ALSO for equilibrium the HORIZONTAL forces must be equal (and opposite) (the weight has no horizontal component. So you can solve the 2 equations

OpenStudy (somy):

@MrNood i don't quite get it i mean Tension 1 and 2 are here as hypotenuse what does is have to do with horizontal components?

OpenStudy (somy):

sum i do get, what i don't get is how? i mean no matter what kind of triangle i draw i just don't get the right answer and most confusing part is that these tensions have same ans as in c part i mean tension 1 is 5.75N and tension 2 is 4.8N so im totally lost T_T
