Help please it's for a major grade!!!!! :(
Determine which equation below has a solution of x = 2. A. 5x + 8 – 12x = –6x + 2x – 3 B. 6x + 4 – 12x = –10x + 18x – 3 C. –4x – 6 + x = –2x + x – 10 D. –3x – 8 + x = –4x + x – 10 Which of the following describes the best method of solving two-step equations? A. Apply the multiplication property of equality first, and then apply the addition property of equality to isolate the variable. B. Apply the addition property of equality first, and then apply the multiplication property of equality to isolate the variable. C. Apply only the multiplication property of equality to isolate the variable. D. Apply only the addition property of equality to isolate the variable. Find the value of x that makes the statement true. 3/7x+3-x+3=2 A. –7 B. 7 C. 3 D. –3 Solve. 3(4x − 2x) = 8 A. -4/3 B. 4/3 C. 8/3 D.-8/6 A student attempts to solve for x in the equation below. Which statement best applies to the work shown below? 3 = 2 – x 3 = 2 – 2 – x 3 = –x (-1) * 3 = (-1) * -x –3 = x A. The student incorrectly applied the multiplication property of equality before the addition property of equality. B. The student did not properly apply the addition property of equality to isolate x. C. The student did not properly apply the multiplication property of equality to isolate x. D. The student correctly solved the two-step equation.
plug in 2 instead of x for the first problem into the options....
You might get more and faster responses if you'd please post one question at a time and express your thoughts on the one you do post before asking for help with it.
Huh???? Im sorry I am really stupid with math jeje
OK @mathmale im sorry
Kindly do not describe yourself as "stupid." it really does make a difference when you regard yourself as capable of learning and move forward based upon that. Again: Please post one question at a time (at least next time!). Figure out what it is that you know and what you don't know about solving that particular problem. THEN (only then) ask for help. Try to explain what kind of help you need there.
OK
Altho' I cannot stay on OpenStudy longer, I'll give you a hint to help you start out on the first problem you've listed, above: Substitute 2 for x in each of the four answer choices. Probably only one of the resulting equations will then be true. Which one is it?
