OpenStudy (phi):

Do you know what perimeter means ?

OpenStudy (phi):

Do you know equilateral is latin for equal sides

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

once you know what equilateral triangle is, you will be easily able to solve the problem.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I didn't know the latin behind it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what fourmula do i need

OpenStudy (phi):

You don't need a formula. You need to know what perimeter means. Do you know what perimeter means ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Perimeter= Sum of all sides of the shape. in EQUILATERAL triangle (each angle is 60º) and all sides are equal, if one of the sides is 14 and it has 3 sides then what is the PERIMETER ?

OpenStudy (phi):

see http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/perimeter.html perimeter is the distance around the triangle. the sum of its sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14*4 would that give me my answer or would i +

OpenStudy (phi):

a triangle only has 3 sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh 3 typo

OpenStudy (phi):

you could also do 14+14+14 (which gives the same answer as 3*14)
