OpenStudy (bookworm14):

A pet show had 32 dogs, 24 cats, and 12 pets of other types. What was the ratio of dogs to all pets at the pet show?

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

32 to 36

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

or 16 to 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

32/68

OpenStudy (ankit042):

Can you find total number of pets first? ratio of dog = number of dogs/total pets

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

??? how

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Add all of the numbers together (32, 24, 12) to get 68, which is the denominator then 32:68 is the ratio, but simplified, it'd be 16:34, further simplified it'd be 8:17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8/17

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

OH ok nvm

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

:) I can see what you did though, I almost did the same thing @Warriorz13

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

:) I know

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

What is taking you so long to type?

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

me?

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

Yeah I was witing 10 mins+ for you to finish typing

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Lol I wasn't typing

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

I don't want Bookworm to keep getting notifications, so byebye :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
