I'm afraid you've misunderstood.  There is an Addition Rule for Probability, just as there is a Multiplication Rule for Probability.  I am asking you to take matters into your own hands and do some research, via an Internet search, to find out what the Addition Rule for Probability says and where it applies.  Once you've done that, I'd be glad to discuss this problem with you.
