OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

Would anyone be able to help on this Dx Which inequality matches the graph? (I'll put the graph below and multiple choice.)

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

A. -2x + 3y > 7 B. 2x - 3y < 7 C. -3x + 2y ≥ 7 D. 3x - 2y ≤ 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first thing I would do is simplify all the options given, you can tell from the graph that your slope (m) will be positive and A and B are eliminated because the line is solid not dotted, so all you have to do is simplify C and D and see what equation comes out with a positive slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I worked out c for you, its a negative slope so your answer is the last remaining (D)

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

thank you so much C: Could you help with one more?? @ISleptWithSirens

of course

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

A rental moving truck can haul a maximum of 7,500 pounds. Dejuan has boxes that weigh 40 pounds and boxes that weigh 75 pounds. How many of each kind of box can he haul in one load? If x represents the number of 40-pound boxes and y represents the number of 75-pound boxes, which graph correctly shows the solution to the problem?

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

I know it'll go something like... x represents the number of 40-pound boxes y represents the number of 75-pound boxes \[40x+75y<7,500\]

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

Nevermind I got it ; w ; So which graph would have y ≤ 100 and x ≤ 187.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I just got done drawing and writing it all out xD, so you should have that made into 1 equation cause its only 1 line it should be (once you've worked it out) \[Y \le-8/15+100\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that should be -18/15x

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

Thank you c: I checked it and got the right graph was B c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol you always reply right when I get the answer, good job im not only proud of you but also myself because I suck at word problems

OpenStudy (breathlessreaper):

I suck pretty hard at them too xD Thank you very much for helping though :D
