it's not a carbohydrate, because it has oxygen in it. Carbohydrate only have carbon and hydrogen (hence the name) It's not a protein, because the peptide bond is not there. Another clue: if there's no nitrogen, it's not a protein. Not a nuclei acid because it does not have the sugar and phosphate groups So the only possible option is that it's a lipid :)
