OpenStudy (nick1232):

school is stressing me someone help :/. Using the diagram, what is the approximate volume of Jose's snow cone in terms of pi ? Height is 12 , radius is 5

geerky42 (geerky42):

well, where is the diagram?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Assuming you have a cone with radius 5, and height 12, you use the formula V = (1/3)*pi*r^2*h where V = volume of cone pi = 3.14 (approximately) r = radius h = height

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when they say "in terms of pi", you don't replace pi with 3.14, you just leave it as is (think of it as a variable)
