If 8p = -2x2 - 100, which of the following could X possibly be? X = square root of 8 times p plus 100 over 2 X = square root of negative 8 times p plus 100 over negative 2 X = square root of negative 8 times p minus 100 over 2 X = square root of 8 times p minus 100 over negative 2

@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

try to use the quadratic formula

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or, in this case some simple algebra should do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it is D

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i would disagree with D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So would you flip the signs?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the wording is hurting my eyes but i believe they did something akin to this 8p = -2x2 - 100 2x2 = -8p - 100 then divided a 2 and sqrted

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so negative, minus, over 2 is what im looking for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be C, the 8p is negative and then minus 100 over 2?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

with any luck yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you :)
