I have my first physics final tomorrow covering some basic mechanics: Newton's Laws, momentum, angular acceleration, Keplar's laws, ect up to Equilibrium. My problem is that I have SO much trouble with my free body diagrams. What should i do so I understands how forces work?

I have my first physics final tomorrow covering some basic mechanics: Newton's Laws, momentum, angular acceleration, Keplar's laws, ect up to Equilibrium.  My problem is that I have SO much trouble with my free body diagrams.  What should i do so I understands how forces work?

If the forces are unbalanced, the body will accelerate, a = F/m
Force is a vector. When combining forces, combine their components, (Fx, Fy).
If the body is not accelerating, the forces are balancing, cancelling out.
