What is the actual Unit and lesson of this portfolio?

@love10129151 You there?

unit 1 lesson 8

Ok, for the first task part a, you just have to multiply 10^-10 by 1000 to get the wavelength of ultraviolet light in meters. My result was 10^-7 m. You'll have to show your work though. It going to be a lot to type if I do show you everything step by step.

OpenStudy (love10129151):

ok

OpenStudy (blank ):

For part b, You'll have to compare (1 * 10^-7) and (3.8 * 10^-7). All you have to do is prove whether (3.8 * 10^-7) is larger or smaller than (1 * 10^-7). Visible light is longer than UV light. Take a look: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=1*10%5E-7%3C3*10%5E-7

OpenStudy (blank ):

For Task 2 part a, you'll have to calculate how much bits are in a Megabyte. 2^3 = 8; 2^20 = 1048576; 1048576 * 8 = 8388608 or around 8×10^6 bits. :)

OpenStudy (blank ):

For part b, you'll have to calculate how much megabytes there are in a gigabyte and how many bits are in a gigabyte. 2^30 = 1073741824; 1073741824 / 1048576 = 1024 or around 1*10^3 megabytes in one gigabyte. Now to calculate the bits: 8388608 * 1024 = 8589934592 or around 8×10^9 bits in a gigabyte.

For Task 3, there are a lot of results on google. Maybe you could find one that would help you. The answer has to be 3.102 years though. Sorry, it's just a lot of work to type.

@love10129151 You there?

OpenStudy (love10129151):

yes

OpenStudy (blank ):

Did I help you at all?

OpenStudy (love10129151):

yes

OpenStudy (love10129151):

thanks
