PLEASE HELP MEDAL AND FAN FOR FIRST ANSWER!!!! When representatives of the 13 American colonies met in 1775 to form the Continental Army, whom did they choose to lead it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.Marquis de Lafayette B.Benjamin Franklin C.Thomas Paine D.George Washington

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think D

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Thomas Paine was still in England, He wrote some stuff but was no soldier. Lafayette was a French noble man. Liked democracy but no Benjamin Franklin wasn't much of a soldier and was too old to lead an army I'd go with the "Indispensable Man" George Washington
