try out all the options and multiply the bases by their exponents, check which one will give you the result of 125.
OpenStudy (pinksapphire):
The answer is D. But do you know how to do it?

list all the factors of 24 and 44 and see which ones are in common. that would be the "shortest" trick as far as what i know.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1 2 4 12
OpenStudy (calculusxy):
no. 44 is not divisible by 12
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh m g
OpenStudy (calculusxy):

do you know how to do a factor tree
OpenStudy (anonymous):
"b i think it is" said yoda
OpenStudy (calculusxy):
lets see if you are correct:
well we know that 5 squared equals to 5*5=25
and then multiply that by 2 = 50
and then multiply that by 7 = 350
so maybe not b
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i did 5*2 my bad

OpenStudy (calculusxy):
no problem that is a common mistake. remember that 5 is the base and the 2 is exponent and you have to multiply the base as many times as the exponent.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
"c i think it is" said Yoda
OpenStudy (calculusxy):
yes you are correct
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no Yoda correct
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
