What's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The file I have posted is the question. I just want to know if I did it correctly. I probably didn't. >_< xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh o: sorry, I'm not familiar with this DX

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. It's fine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

What is it asking you to do exactly?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The instructions are missing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops! I must of cut them off when I edited it. Well, it says "Match each composite figure with the number of interior faces.".

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh gotcha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. Sorry about that.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I don't see how you got d for #2 There are 2 interior faces (front and back) and then 6 more interior faces (around the sides) making 2+6 = 8 total

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay. Interior faces are just hard to understand for some reason. :/

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

just imagine you're standing inside the figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright. I imagine all the walls.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

one sec and I'll pull up a formal definition

geerky42 (geerky42):

Well, there is no option for 8. @jim_thompson5910 I agree with you, but something is missing...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much for helping me out on this.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok what I'm getting is that an interior face is "a face or part of a face of a three-dimensional solid that's on the inside of a composite figure"

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so if we had 2 3D figures glued together, like a cylinder and a cone |dw:1400036119402:dw|
