the hight of a ball t seconds after it is thrown straight up with an initial velocity of 64 ft/s is given by the formula: h=64t-16t^2. Max height reached after 2seconds. Max height is 64ft. After how many seconds will the ball hit the ground?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so it you let h = 0 and then factor the equation you'll find the time when the height is 0 or a simpler method is the at curve is symmetric if it takes 2 second to get to max height.... how long from max height to ground? then you can work out what times it hits the ground
