if log(75) = 1.875 ,then what is the value of log100(75)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log100(75) = log10(75) /log10(100) = 1.875/2 = 0.9375

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why did you divide log10(75)/log10(1000)? and the 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I understand everything except why you divided by 2?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

because log base 10 of 100 is 2 \[\Large \log_{10}(100) = 2\]
