Write your answer in descending order. (x3 + x2 - 3x - 3) (x + 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x^2-3)(x+1)^2, I think Is this right @Hero ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea thanks

Welcome!

hero (hero):

Actually, I thought they wanted you to EXPAND rather than FACTOR

hero (hero):

Then it would make sense to write the polynomial in descending order.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I help them with a previous question and it said factor, but you could probably do that, but you'd still have to factor lol

hero (hero):

No, if you expand it, you would have to write the polynomial in descending order which is what they want you to do. Says nothing about factoring.
