OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

i am testing the antibacterial property on ZnO nanoparticles on E.coli ans S.aureus. i have been reading a lot but i couldnt decide which broth to use? i need to choose between TSA LB and MH. and also i need a significant reason as to why that particular medium is best.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

@thomaster @aaronq

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

@thomaster could u plz help?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

sorry, i dont why one would be better over the other.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

EITHER is okay to use, but the standard growth medium is the Mueller-Hinton agar. I think the tryptic soy agar is more used for economical purposes.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

But just bear in mind that different bacteria respond differently and sometimes even same species' results may vary.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

okay pont noted nin...thanks..:D

OpenStudy (aaronq):

i think you should run small pilot experiments with all the broths if you have them available.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

thats what i was thinking...gonna check the availibility tomo..thanks both of u..:)
