what is AB?
4, I think. I'm not the best at this stuff. Is this area or perimeter?
mmmmm I'm not sure but here i think you need vectors rules !!
Is there an answer choice?
@Vivid this is finding the length of the diagonal.
like you first find the length of string required to connect the platforms to the nearest !! and so on
4.1
how you get it ??
w2 + h2 2=square
Okay so here are the answers, sqrt of 53, 5, 2 sqrt of 10, and 2 sqrt 6
Use the Pythagorean Theorem in 3D: \[d = \sqrt{x^2 + y^2 + z^2} \]
@Hero so 4^2+6^2+1^2
right
Now take the square root of that to get d
I got 7. is that right so far
@Hero
|dw:1400085400033:dw|
thank you how did u get that do u care to explain
I just inherit what you do. \(\sqrt{4^2+6^2+1^2}=\sqrt{53}\)
Basically this formula is taken from the fact that yu can see triangles there with 90 degrees corners.
okay but when i added all of them i got 49? what did i do wrong
\(4^2 = 4 \times 4 = 16\) \(6^2 = 6 \times 6 = 36\) \(1^2 = 1 \times 1 = 1\) \[16 + 36 + 1 = 10 + 6 + 30 + 6 + 1\] \( \space= 10 + 30 + 10 + 2 + 1 \\= 50 + 3 \\= 53\)
okay
