Was there something before in the question that tells you what f(x) is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope :/

OpenStudy (ranga):

Could you take a screenshot/pic of the entire page that has this question and post it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes ok

That does not add much to the previous link. It says question 18 of 20. Is there an f(x) mentioned before earlier that says f(x) = something and use this for the following questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this one

OpenStudy (ranga):

Ok, so there are a couple of typos in question 18. It should be: FOR the function (and not Find the function). For the function f(x) = x + 9 (and not f(x) - x + 9). So they are asking for (f o f^-1)(5). (f o f^-1)(5) = f(f^-1(5)) If you take x, then find f^-1(x) and then find f(f^-1(x)) you will end up with what you started with, namely, x So f(f^-1(5)) = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aahh okay thank, that means 19 has typos ~_~

OpenStudy (ranga):

It says question 18 of 20 in this link which has two typos: http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/5373ce09e4b02d141365809d-buttercup16-1400101781567-math.jpg

OpenStudy (ranga):

The word Find should be replaced by For and f(x) - should be f(x) =

oh ok! thanks :)
