What is the meaning of the points (2,−50), (3,0), and (4,150)?
the point 2,-50 is the vertex of the parabola at x=2 the minimum value of the curve is -50 the curve crosses the x-axis when x=3 or 3 is one of the zeroes of the polynomial represented by the curve when x =4 the value of the polynomial is 150
Explain how you know what type of function could be used to model this situation.
It looks like a parabola y = (x-a)^2 with min at a suspect this because of the u shape of the curve
