here is a normal way to do it ( not professional )
1- prepare ur theme ( whats the Art about)
2- try to find things humm like pic from magazine (for example)
3- stick all elements in unique way with formal colors
idk how to explain more lol
infact its not tied art ur free to do what ever you wond :O
but dont forget the Thematic unity which is the most important
