Which of the following best describes the United States?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has a market economy with no government regulation. This is the only system that can work with a government run by the people. It has a command economy. A large nation like the United States needs the government to control all growth of business to prevent problems. It has a traditional economy. Most communities are focused on providing their own needs with the resources available in the local area. It has a mixed economy. The government protects individual rights, such as minimum pay for work and choices in goods and services.

when the United States started it was called the NEW WORLD and it was more of a command because Great Britain was commanding them to do stuff so the economy was like that. Hope i helped @hns941

@Jacobbenvenutty can you please help ?

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

(D) It has a mixed economy. The government protects individual rights, such as minimum pay for work and choices in goods and services. The second one is not true since the U.S. is not a communist government, which completely rules out the government controling "all" business The third is not completely true since most of the east coast has city and town areas which are almost always making money/business through selling, and not just sustaining themselves like some small farms

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

D to me is the obvious choice since it is a known fact that the U.S. government has a minimum wage, and it's citizen have individual rights according to the constitution

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

Make sense hns?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you :)

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

@Muzzack I understand what you are saying, but the question was what is the U.S. and not what the U.S. was when it was breaking free of Britains control. (Which we were not technically called the U.S. until a later time, but so you can put it into perspective i said U.S.) : )

OpenStudy (muzzack):

oh i understand sorry bad explanation :(

OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

It's ok xD
