how do we avoid sexism?
By loving everyone
Out of curiosity, is this for the sake of discussion or for some sort of assignment?
Either way, it is recognized that understanding/education is the first step in anything, including avoidance. To work towards this, questioning and research is necessary. You need to know what exactly you are avoiding. I mean: look up everything from the definition of sexism to examples of micro-aggression. Feminism, trans-sexism, and maybe even the men's rights movement (but in my experience, it tends to be too frustrating and illogical to really take into account.) Research topics such as representation in government, equal pay, and the history of gender inequality. Once you put a lot of work into understanding, it is up to you to determine what steps best be taken.
