I'm trying to write a novel, and would like to ask you if the opening is intreaging.
It's based on the surreal things that happen in the mind of a mental pacient.

Entry One:
Taking in to account recent events, I have decided
to write down my thoughts, experiences and ideas. I’ll start with a brief introduction of the events that made me start keeping this diary.
I am Sentemine. I am a cat, or at least a cat is what I would be, if I were real, but I am not. I exist only in the mind of my closest and most treasured acquaintance,

This is a very compelling and unique story idea! Out of curiosity, though, did you mean to make punctuation/spelling error? I only ask this because I have seen it done before to give a certain effect to it like to reflect the dialect of the narrator. Really, though, keep writing this, it looks really good.

I did want to post more, but I didn't have space in the original question. ...most treasured acquaintance, a patient and prisoner at the NADC, National Asylum for Dangerous Criminals. 
I was sitting outside the door of her cell, waiting for the food bringing man. I wasn’t hungry, I just wanted someone to let me inside and I knew I didn’t have long left to wait.
He arrived slightly late, bringing with him the fused smells of the less than appealing asylum food, and his own fowl sweat. Despite the unpleasant smells radiating from him, I was able to stay near enough to him to be able to dart through the food slot, before he had pushed through the plate.
“I’m back, but I shan’t be staying long” I told Lynda, the woman who’s mind I exist in.
