Which of these book titles best describes the Gideon v. Wainwright ruling, and what was the result?

Expanding Civil Rights – Gideon demanded an attorney because he couldn't afford one resulting in all citizens charged in criminal cases having the right to an attorney. Due Process – The Supreme Court's ruling against Gideon resulted in a guilty verdict and lack of attorney representation for future accused. Defense Denied - The Supreme Court denied Gideon's request for an attorney and created a situation in which more innocent people were jailed. Taking the Stand – Gideon's request to represent himself in his criminal case resulted in a law that allowed citizens to represent themselves in court if they couldn't afford an attorney.
