Given a triangle with sides of 7, 9 and x, which of the following describes the range of values for the third side of the triangle?

OpenStudy (john_es):

Do you have the "following" you mention?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. x < 7="" or="">x > 9 B. x > 2 C. x < 16> D. 2 <>x < 16> @John_ES

OpenStudy (john_es):

You can use the triangle inequality. \[a+b>c\] For the sides of a triangle. Then, \[7+9>x\Rightarrow 16>x \Rightarrow x<16\]
