Use FOIL (x2 + 3x + 1)(x2 + x + 2)

when you say x2 do you mean x squared?

yes

ok

So if you think about it you just need to multiply everything by everything else. It's very complicated to understand but x^4+4x^3+6x^2+7x+2 Should be the simplified answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to multiply x^2 by everything in the second parentheses and then 3x by everthing in the second parentheses and then 1 by everything in the second parentheses.
