A combined circuit has two resistors in parallel (10.0 ohms and 14.0 ohms) and another in series (5.0 ohms). If the power source is 9.0 volts, what is the current?

OpenStudy (mathmale):
first, find the combined resistance of the 2 resistors which are in parallel. To that result add the resistance of the resistor that is in series with the parallel ones. That's your total resistance. Divide that total into the voltage (9 volts) to obtain the current (in amperes).|dw:1400256313725:dw|
