genotype of Dd. What is the phenotype?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that the info u have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ hippo4.. Phenotype is a physical characteristic..anythings observable...The phenotype kinda depends on what trait the dominant and recessive alleles are referring to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would the phenotype be with the genotype of dd @Drsuz98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well dd would be recessive but I was taught that phenotype is an observational characteristic..for example brown eyes or dark hair...It would help me more if I knew what trait the d's are portraying in this question....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The father has a genotype of Dd. What is his phenotype?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay...does it tell u what D is? Is it like hair color, eye color, tallness...i need that info in order to have the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hippo4 just tell me any observable traits that are in ur question..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

earlobes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hippo4 Okay..that helps...how do they classify the earlobes? like based on shape..or what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

itss dd detached

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Drsuz98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay well they would be attached bc the father has Dd and the D is the dominant..if the father had dd then they would be detached..do u get that? @hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both parents have dimples. What are their possible genotypes? nvm how about this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well then they are detached

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DD or Dd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both parents have dimples. What are their possible genotypes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Drsuz98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dimples are dd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay.think of it this way..the genotypes are the letters..also known as allels..The phenotypes are the visual traits that can easily be observed...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didnt mean to put DD or Dd earler..srry..its dd..that is the genotype...do u understand that? @hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good..got anymore? I am actually good at biology but thats because I think its kinda fun!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A description of what diversity is and how declining diversity can lead to extinctions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Diversity is the varieties and differences among organisms in a population. Declining diversity can lead to extinction because genes aren't being passed on from generation to generation which then leads to extinction..does that help? @hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YESSS THANKS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ur welcome..i just got done with that lesson a couple of weeks ago so yeah!! what else? @hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u do this or me it can be a small oone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take a moment to think about the three processes described in this lesson. How do you feel about them? Should we clone animals? Is genetic engineering a good idea? Should people choose mates for animals for specific reasons? Each of these processes has advantages and disadvantages. For this assessment, you will make a decision as to whether you support or do not support each process. You may support one, or two, or all. Maybe you don’t support any of these processes. Make a decision on each process individually. Please write a letter to a friend. In this letter, you will describe each process and tell the friend why you either support the use of the process or believe that the process should not be used. Your letter might start off something like this:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do u just want me to answer the questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about this...I will write the letter if you write the descriptions of each process and post them to include in the letter bc I havent learned these processes yet..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like make a letter telling why we shouldnt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

niether have i can u search em up and see i u support or dont

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause im making another vid and al give u a shout out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

youtube vid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you...if u message me later tonight I will tell u why..but just dont...and what kind of video?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

skate vid u know but can u help with that letter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to make a video that is funny or about u...not just skating...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

al make a funny skate vid we do that on our episodes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay..but why dont u just make a solo video? Do it for me..i wanna see ur funny side..the normal u..ya know what i mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should we clone animals? Is genetic engineering a good idea? Should people choose mates for animals for specific reasons? these are the thing that the letter has to be about either supporting it or not exm i support cloning cause i dont want them to be extinct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will but then there will be skating ater in u know day in the life

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dear friend, There are many debates as to weather we should clone animals or not and weather or not genetic engineering is a good idea. Both the cloning of animals and the engineering of animals have advantages and disadvantages. I support the statement that animals should not be cloned or genetically engineered for a few different reasons. One of my main reasons is that a certain species is cloned or genetically engineered, it will lead to a decrease in biodiversity. Biodiversity is the genetic differences in species and by making replicas of the same species, biodiversity is decreasing. Furthermore, I am against the idea of animals being cloned and genetically engineered because as a result of all the changes that take place, mutations can occur and cause significantly negative impacts on the genes of other organisms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that good for you ? @hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank u :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ur welcome!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea konda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no lets talk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow.....u just asked me to talk?@hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh..okay...what u wana talk bout?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hippo4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me with this then i make the vid u want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah what is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have previously chosen a side to an issue, stated a claim, and you have written ideas about your claim in your Argument Organizer. Now you will use your ideas from the organizer (and tips from this lesson) to write the introduction to your argument. Write three or more complete sentences. Remember to include: Overview: provide general information about your topic Explanation: describe why your issues is controversial Claim: present your stand on your issue that excludes all personal feelings and the pronoun “I” Write in a formal style using the third person point of view. Use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
