Yep D is absolutely correct, because the other options use quotation marks, which would only make sense if the beginning of the sentence had them too, like this: "To make her famous pumpkin bread," Myndi said, "she prefers using canned pumpkin." Since that's not an option and other other quotation uses are incorrect, D is correct- no change!
