OpenStudy (jjuden):

Is the following an example of inductive reasoning or deductive reasoning? Your dog barks very loudly whenever she sees the mailman walk up to your house. You hear the mail truck driving up the street, so you take your dog into a room where she can’t see or hear the mailman coming. While the mailman comes and goes, your dog never barks.

OpenStudy (jjuden):

a Inductive reasoning b Deductive reasoning

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so what is inductive and what is deductive

OpenStudy (jjuden):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Inductive reasoning is based on observation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Deductive reasoning is based on laws or general principles
