A combined circuit has two resistors in parallel (10.0 ohms and 14.0 ohms) and another in series (5.0 ohms). If the power source is 9.0 volts, what is the current?

In your last question, I gave the formula for calculating the effective resistance of resistors in parallel. For resistors in series, the effective resistance is just the sum of each of the resistors, uhm, resistance. So if R1 and R2 are in series, Reff=R1+R2. To calculate current, just use Ohm's Law:\[I=\frac{ V }{ R }\]
