I would think weathering (c) because weathering is the breaking apart of materials which is kind of what soil is... Broken up particles. I am not positive, though. Rivers also makes somewhat sense because when a river flows over an area, it leaves sediments behind. But rivers couldn't have MADE the soil. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that it's not plants.
