Are pet raccoons illegal in Idaho? Ill give a medal!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Funny question! :) But believe it or not, there is a "mypetracoons.com", and according to that website which posted a list of pet laws per state, the following is Idaho-Yes- All species of mammals, birds, or reptiles that are found in the wild and are not species of special concern may be held in captivity without a permit so long as the possessor retains proof that the animal was lawfully obtained. In addition, before bringing an animal into the state an owner must obtain an import permit and comply with specific caging requirements for the animal. So yes, you CAN have pet raccoon in Idaho! :)
