Which statements about the American Civil War are true? Choose ALL answers that are correct. A. The Emancipation Proclamation made the war a fight to end slavery. B. The war was short because of the North's superior military leaders. C. Lincoln failed to describe a clear vision for the future of the country. D. Economic differences created tension between the North and South.
I was thinking it's A & D.
Alright
u r actually right
its A & D
Really, how did you figure it out?
Well im not sure y I choose A but I think its true.
B is obviously wrong. The war was long, even in the west where the north did have good military commanders such as William T Sherman and Ulysses Grant.
C is wrong. In his Gettysburg Address Lincoln showed a clear vision of what he thought the US should be like. D is true because in that the north was a commercial economy and would become a manufacturing economy while the south was an agricultural economy. However, there were also moral differences. The south believed chattel slavery to be a moral good and the abolitionists believed it to be a moral evil.
i hope I helped
