This is the assignment 1. The Conservative 80s The 1980s are often considered to be a conservative era. You are going to look back at the decade and examine why. Look back at the Reagan years (Lessons 4-6); why would conservatives have been generally happy with what was going on? Start by going back to U9L4 and reviewing the goals and concerns of the conservative movement. For each of the 8 following topics, explain why conservatives would have been happy with the government's actions during the decade (Congress, President, and Supreme Court). To answer the questions, you will need to look back over Lessons 4-6 and look at actions throughout the government (not just only what Reagan did). Soviet Union (pre-1985)
