HELP PLEASE
Bernard is realizing that his dimensions are not fitting the way that he wants it to because he forgot about the deck. The deck is going to be a rectangular space that borders the pool. Also, for the pool to fit just right there must be a special product represented when either the area or volume expressions are determined. He wants you to design your own rectangular pool using polynomial expressions, including the deck to borders the pool. Include a diagram or sketch of your pool and deck. Your diagram must have all dimensions represented with polynomials and ensure that a special product will be used. Determine the polynomial expression to represent the area of land space that the pool will cover. Determine the area of the deck that borders the pool based on your dimensions. Be sure to include all of your work and calculations to receive full credit.
Ok dokey. A word problem, that doesn't boil down into nitpicking the easy equations. A "special product" sounds like a special binomial product, like (X+b)^2 = x^2 + 2BX + B^2. Something like that. Besides that, your question makes almost no sense. It sounds like it's asking "Design a rectangular deck with a rectangular pool inside of it, except instead of using measurements use arbitrary polynomial expressions of your own discretion, and have them somehow relate" If I was given that in virtual school or in my classroom i'd tell my teacher BULLSH*T, and ask for some major clarification. Because if they wouldn't clarify, i'd answer it the way i'm guessing it'd be answered. |dw:1400293390945:dw| That is the kind of bullpellet i'd come up with trying to answer this question, but honestly this question makes absolutely no sense at all and you probably should provide more context, if you can't, you should complain to your teacher that the instructions are completely incoherent.
